This Thursday, the PGA Tour presents fantasy golf fans with the 2021 Corales Puntacana Championship. Yes, I know that the World Golf Championship Match Play tournament is currently being played in Austin, Texas. The Corales Puntacana Championship is an alternate event on the PGA Tour schedule.

This alternate event provides a competitive environment for all PGA Tour players that did not qualify to play the more prestigious golf tournament in Texas. After all, only 64 golfers qualified to play the WGC event in Texas. I think this week’s Corales event in the Dominican Republic will be outstanding from a fantasy golf perspective!

*Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to clearly state that the purpose of this article is not to provide a specific lineup. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a Draftkings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my DraftKings/fantasy golf player selections for the 2021 Corales Puntacana Championship.

Patrick Rodgers $8,300

The American fired a final round 69 at the Genesis Invitational last month en route to a 12th place finish. Rodgers also finished 11th at the 2020 Corales Puntacana Championship.

Chase Seiffert $8,000

Seiffert has three top 15 finishes in his last five events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive third-place result at last week’s Honda Classic.

Brice Garnett $8,000

Garnett has two top 25 finishes in his last three events played on the PGA Tour, including a fifth-place result at the Puerto Rico Open last month. It should also be noted that Garnett won the 2018 Corales Puntacana Championship.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 Corales Puntacana Championship field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Garnett tenth in strokes gained putting, tenth in strokes gained off the tee, and 17th in GIR (greens in regulation).

Tyler McCumber $7,900

The 29-year-old Floridian finished second at the 2020 Corales Puntacana Championship. McCumber also arrives at this week’s PGA Tour event in decent form. McCumber has two consecutive top 33 finishes on the PGA Tour.

Tedd Potter Jr. $7,400

Potter Jr.’s statistics are never going to pop off the page. However, the man can play coastal golf. Potter Jr. won the 2018 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and he finished seventh at the Puerto Rico Open last month. Those results are just a few examples of what he can do on a coastal track.

I think Ted Potter Jr. presents outstanding fantasy golf value at a Draftkings price of only $7,400.

Additional golfers I like this week: Charley Hoffman $10,200: Sepp Straka $8,800: Roger Sloan $8,400.

Next. 2021 golf drivers offer a host of high-tech features that promise to perform. dark

Best of luck to those who are down at the Corales Puntacana Championship this week.
