The second major championship of the year is coming in hot. This week the PGA Tour heads to Kiawah Island for the 2021 PGA Championship.

Last week my sleeper and undervalued DFS DraftKings selections were led by none other than K.H. Lee. I’d say that was a great call.

Don’t believe I had K.H. in my selections, don’t worry, I have the receipts.

As always, check out Hans Geevers’ full-lineup picks that he posts each and every week. Hans’ article is also great for reading about the course, and how he believes it will play.

And of course, as always in my articles, I am only looking at players under the average DraftKings salary of $8,333. Finding value is the most important thing when making your selections, so I hope to bring you some solid options.

The key stats I will be looking at this week are strokes gained off-the-tee, putting, on approach, and around-the-green. I will also be looking at bogey avoidance, par 4 birdie or better, and par 5 efficiency 550-600 yards. Here are my selections:

Abraham Ancer ($7,900)

My first 7K selection of the week is Abraham Ancer. I like Ancer over the bottom of the 8K range, which is why I am going with three 7K selections over an 8K this week.

So far on tour this season Ancer sits tied fourth in bogey avoidance, ninth in par 4 birdie or better, 29th strokes gained off-the-tee, 33rd strokes gained on approach, 57th strokes gained putting, and T67 in par 5 efficiency 550-600 yards.

Ancer is coming off back-to-back top-five finishes. He came in fifth at Valspar and second at the Wells Fargo Championship.

Joaquin Niemann ($7,800)

Joaquin Niemann is priced criminally low this week. Four of his last five starts have resulted in top-25 finishes. Besides what will likely be high ownership on DraftKings, there is no reason to not have Niemann this week.

So far on tour this season Niemann sits seventh in par 4 birdie or better, eighth in par 5 efficiency 550-600 yards, 10th strokes gained off-the-tee, T24 bogey avoidance, T29 in strokes gained putting, and 34th in strokes gained on approach.

Jason Kokrak ($7,100)

My final 7K selection of the week is Jason Kokrak. Kokrak hasn’t missed a cut in the 2021 calendar year and is coming off a T13 at the Valspar.

So far on tour this season Kokrak sits sixth in strokes gained putting, 19th in strokes gained off-the-tee, T44 par 5 efficiency 550-600 yards, 48th in bogey avoidance, 68th in par 4 birdie or better, and T73 in strokes gained on approach.

Some of my other favorite 7K selections include Sam Burns ($7,500) and Matt Jones ($7,100)

Alex Noren ($6,600)

My first 6K selection of the week is Alex Noren. Noren has made the cut in four of his last five PGA Championship starts, highlighted by a T22 in 2020.

So far on tour this season Noren sits 41st in strokes gained putting, 68th in strokes gained around-the-green, and T80 in par 5 efficiency 550-600 yards.

Noren has been hot of late, coming off three straight top-25 finishes at the RBC Heritage, Valspar Championship, and AT&T Byron Nelson.

J.T. Poston ($6,100)

My final selection of the week is J.T. Poston. Poston is priced way too low at $6,100. He might be the reason someone wins big money this week. If Poston has a good week, and you pick the right big-name players, watch out.

So far on tour this season Poston sits fourth in strokes gained putting, and T38 in par 5 efficiency 550-600 yards.

Poston is coming off back-to-back made cuts, highlighted by a top-30 at the Wells Fargo Championship.

Also, for what it’s worth, the PGA Championship is the only major Poston has made the cut in. He’s 2/2 with a best finish of T60 in 2019.

Some of my other favorite 6K selections include Ryan Palmer ($6,900) and Kevin Streelman ($6,700)
