This week the PGA Tour heads to Congaree Golf Club for the first time for the Palmetto Championship. If you haven’t already heard, this is not the strongest field of all time. So, finding value in your DraftKings selections is the utmost of importance.

As always, check out Hans Geevers’ full-lineup picks that he posts each and every week. Hans’ article is also great for reading about the course, and how he believes it will play.

And of course, as always in my articles, I am only looking at players under the average DraftKings salary of $8,333. Finding value is the most important thing when making your selections, so I hope to bring you some solid options.

The key stats I will be looking at this week are driving distance, strokes gained Off-The-Tee, sand saves, and greens in regulation. Here are my selections:

Jhonattan Vegas ($8,300)

Coming in just $33 under the average salary is Jhonattan Vegas. Vegas is not someone I usually advocate for playing, but he has been good as of late. Vegas has made his last four cuts, highlighted by a T9 at the AT&T Byron Nelson.

So far on tour this season Vegas sits 5th in strokes gained Off-The-Tee, 19th in driving distance, and 65th greens in regulation.

Now, I should mention, since the tour has never played at Congaree no one is really sure of the key stats. I believe because of the length of the course, distance and play off the tee will matter, as well as hitting the green. Which is why I like Vegas this week.

Luke List ($7,900)

My first 7K selection of the week is Luke List. List doesn’t come into the Palmetto Championship in great form, but did have a T6 finish at the Wells Fargo Championship a few weeks ago.

So far on tour this season List sits 7th in driving distance, 8th in strokes gained Off-The-Tee, 48th greens in regulation, and 53rd in sand saves.

Bronson Burgoon ($7,200)

My final 7K selection of the week and a selection from Hans’ article is Bronson Burgoon. Burgoon finished T13 in two of his last three starts, coming at the Valspar Championship and AT&T Byron Nelson.

So far on tour this season Burgoon sits 49th in greens in regulation, T56 in sand saves, T66 in strokes gained Off-The-Tee, and T77 in driving distance.

Tyler McCumber ($6,800)

My first 6K selection of the week is Tyler McCumber. McCumber has made four of his last six PGA Tour cuts, including top-25 finishes at The Players Championship and Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.

So far on tour this season McCumber sits 16th in driving distance, T63 in strokes gained Off-The-Tee, and T129 in greens in regulation, hitting just under 64%.

Rafael Campos ($6,600)

My final selection of the week is Rafael Campos. Now, folks, I’m not going to front you, Rafael Campos last made cut was at the Valero Texas Open in April. He finished T34 in that event.

However, on tour this season Campos sits 58th in strokes gained Off-The-Tee, 76th in driving distance, and T129 in greens in regulation, the same as McCumber, just under 64%.

If I am correct, and distance and strokes gained off the tee are important this week, Campos is a major DraftKings sleeper.
