This is Daniel Berger’s first appearance at Liberty National in the FedEx Cup Playoffs, but he’s still familiar with the venue.

Good memories surely abound for Berger when he made his Team USA debut at the 2017 Presidents Cup and went 2-1-0, including a 2&1 singles win against Si Woo Kim and a 3&2 fourball win with Justin Thomas against Hideki Matsuyama and Jhonattan Vegas.

The former Florida State Seminole should also have good memories from his recent form. It all started back in 2020 when he became a top-10 machine culminating in a win at Colonial.

Berger’s continued to be consistent through 2021 when he won at another historic venue in Pebble Beach. He picked up five more top-10s since February, including in both of his last two starts.

The 28-year-old was T-8th at The Open and nearly won for the third time in Memphis where he posted T-5th.

Berger is on a streak of seven made cuts and made 12 of his last 13.

He ranks eighth on the PGA Tour in total strokes gained (1.471). Berger is sixth in SG approach (.81) and top-40 off the tee, putting and tee to green.

DB is 25th in sand saves (56.86%) and second in par-3 scoring (2.97).

Berger is a four-time PGA Tour winner who looks poised to win a major one of these years. For the time being, a first win at a FedEx Cup Playoffs event would bolster his resume and make him a lock for the Ryder Cup if he already isn’t.
