Si-Woo Kim can be a little up and down with his performance, but it may not be too late to cash in on his recent good form.

The South Korean nearly won his fourth PGA Tour tournament by age 26 when he finished T-2nd in August at the Wyndham Championship. Kim couldn’t survive the spectacular six-man playoff.

Though he missed the cut at The Northern Trust, he bounced back for T-29th at the BMW Championship.

Kim earned six top-25s and missed just three cuts in 2021.

Kim got his 2021-22 campaign off to a good start with T-11th (68-70-68-70) at the Fortinet Championship. He co-led the field with 24 birdies and was top eight in strokes gained around the green and SG tee to green.

He only hit 41.07% of his fairways. It’s hard to see Kim doing much worse than that and I think he used last week off to get the driver in order.

He missed the cut in his Sanderson Farms Championship debut as a youngster in 2015. Kim made his next two cuts at Country Club of Jackson, improving from T-61st in 2019 to T-37th in 2020.

Kim finished fourth on the PGA Tour last season in strokes gained around the green (.467). He was also 44th in SG tee to green (.652) and has the looks of a world class ball striker when all cylinders are firing.

The big moments can be a bit daunting for Kim outside of his win at the 2017 Players Championship, but I think the tranquility of a fall event is just the ticket for Kim to keep calm and show off his talent.
