After leading the 2020-21 Korn Ferry Tour money list, Stephen Jaeger is back on the PGA Tour. He’s done it all on the KFT, winning six times since 2016 and continuously getting the call to the big leagues. Jaeger even famously shot 58 in the first round of his 2016 win at the Ellie Mae Classic.

The former Tennessee-Chattanooga Moc won twice in the 2020-21 KFT super season, taking home trophies from the 2020 Albertsons Boise Open and 2021 Emerald Coast Classic at Sandestin.

Jaeger is now back in the big leagues looking to improve upon a career high T-13th on the PGA Tour (2018 Quicken Loans National).

He’s 1-for-3 making the cut in three starts this season. The 32-year-old German fired three rounds in the 60s to take T-26th at the Sanderson Farms Championship.

Jaeger did play fantastically in the Korn Ferry Tour finals late in the summer. Three top-fives when he already had his card locked up did wonders for his priority status, which could be the difference in him getting into tournaments early in 2022 and beyond.

This is Jaeger’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship debut.

He ranked high on several KFT statistical ranks last season, especially the closer you get to the hole. He was first in sand saves (62.71%) and third in putting average (1.703). He was also second in birdie average (4.57).

It would be wild for Jaeger to go from without a top-10 in dozens of PGA Tour starts to winning this week at Port Royal. But a player who can make birdies in a hurry and has a solid short game can make some hay at this event.
