Kevin Kisner and Robert Streb were in a playoff at the 2020 RSM Classic both seeking to become the tournament’s first two-time winner.

It wasn’t in the cards for Kisner, but he still holds the best overall resume at this event.

The former Georgia Bulldog resides in Aiken, South Carolina, but feels right at home at Sea Island. Not only did Kisner win in 2015, but he has top-10s in half of his 10 starts with two more top-30s to boot.

He fired 65-67-64-64 (-22) to set the tournament record by one shot and win by six.

Sea Island has always been special to me,” Kisner was transcribed by ASAP Sports in 2015. “I lived here for a year right out of college. I played here all four years in college for the SEC Championship. This is where we’ve come to vacation many times. Sea island is just a special place to me.”

Kisner posted 68-66-66-63 to come back and force a playoff last year. He was beaten by a Streb birdie on the second playoff hole.

While he couldn’t win a two-man playoff, Kisner did come out on top in a six-man playoff to win this summer at the Wyndham Championship for Kisner’s fourth career PGA Tour title.

The 37-year-old took a month off since his last action at the CJ Cup, so look for him to be ready to go at one of his favorite events.

Kisner thrives at shorter layouts like this. He was 167th in driving distance (289.1) last season on the PGA Tour, but more importantly for this week he was 21st in fairway accuracy (67.61%).

He was also 32nd in SG putting (.392) and grew up playing Bermuda greens all the time.
