Pebble Beach Pro-Am: NFL’s Josh Allen Set To Play, Tom Brady Should
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is back for another edition and once again some of golf’s best will be paired with some of the biggest celebrities on the planet.
On the PGA side, the field is expected to include last year’s winner Daniel Berger, Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, Patrick Cantlay, Justin Rose, and Will Zalatoris who came so close to winning his first PGA event at the Farmers Insurance Open.
The event will return to a three-course rotation in 2022 after using just Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill last year. Monterey Peninsula Country Club (Shore) is added back into the mix this time around.
Tom Brady has made several appearances at golfing events throughout the years, including the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am back in 2014 when he gave his former head coach Bill Belichick nightmares after attempting to hit his ball while hanging over a cliff.
Of course, Tom Brady also took part in two editions of ‘Capital One’s The Match’ after teaming up with Phil Mickelson in both 2020 and 2021. Brady will not be taking part in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this time, but there are plenty of other celebrities in the field this week.
Former and current NFL Stars will be on full display this week, Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen is set to make his debut at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this year, he will be joined by former NFL Quarterback Alex Smith who returns for another trip to this event in 2022, NFL legend Steve Young, and Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald, who is a two-time Pro-Am winner here.
Bill Murray who is one of the staples year after year at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am will return in 2022, he is joined by fellow stars of the screen including, Ray Romano, Don Cheadle, Michael Pena, Alfonso Ribeiro, Josh Duhamel, Scott Eastwood, and Kathryn Newton to name a few.
Some other notable names include baseball star Mookie Betts, U.S. Soccer legend Mia Hamm, and musicians, Macklemore, Jake Owen, Darius Rucker, and Clay Walker. The list of celebrities set to take part is fantastic, but there are two names missing that would be great to see this week.
Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady should both be at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
Both of these NFL stars have taken part in this event at least once before, but seriously how great would it be to see both of them here at the same time?. Can you imagine the questions that could be asked of both at the moment if they were here?. Rodgers played this event in 2020 and just like Brady, this isn’t the only televised golf experience that he has been part of, Aaron also took part in ‘The Match IV’ in July last year. Both have proven to be fairly capable golfers in this spot and would be fantastic additions to the field this year.
Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers will not be taking part this time, but it’s still set up to be a fantastic week in Pebble Beach, California, with some of the biggest names in golf and the celebrity world set to take part.
