This week, the PGA Tour presents golf fans with the 2022 Valspar Championship. Let’s take a look at this week’s PGA Tour event from a fantasy golf perspective!

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my DFS player selections for the 2022 Valspar Championship.

Abraham Ancer

Abraham Ancer has played the Valspar Championship twice since 2018. In those two events just mentioned, Ancer has accumulated two top 16 finishes, including a fifth-place result at the 2021 Valspar Championship.

Ancer notched his first victory on the PGA Tour at last year’s 2021 WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational.

Matt Fitzpatrick

Matt Fitzpatrick has accumulated three top-ten finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a ninth-place result at the 2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2022 Valspar Championship field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Matt Fitzpatrick ranks tenth in bogey avoidance, second in scrambling, 13th in strokes gained approach, and fourth in strokes gained on par fives.

Alex Noren

The 39-year-old has accumulated three top 26 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive fifth-place result at the 2022 Honda Classic three weeks ago.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2022 Valspar Championship field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Alex Noren ranks third in strokes gained approach, 15th in bogey avoidance, and sixth in strokes gained ball striking.

It should be noted that Alex Noren finished 21st at the 2021 Valspar Championship.

Keegan Bradley

The 2011 PGA Championship winner arrives at this week’s event on the heels of two consecutive top 11 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a fifth-place result at the 2022 Players Championship last week.

I also like the fact that Keegan Bradley has illustrated previously that he can perform at a high level at this week’s PGA Tour event. Bradley finished second at the 2021 Valspar Championship.

Additional golfers I like this week: Christiaan Bezuidenhout: Gary Woodland: CT Pan.
