Group Thirteen- Tyrrell Hatton, Daniel Berger, Si Woo Kim, Christiaan Bezuidenhout

Pick: Christiaan Bezuidenhout

Another group that is seemingly wide open going into this week. South Africans have found success at this event in the past and Bezuidenhout continues the trend in Austin. He rides a hot putter into the knockout round and emerges as one of the surprise group winners at the 2022 WGC-Dell Match Play.

Group Fourteen- Joaquin Niemann, Kevin Na, Russell Henley, Maverick McNealy

Pick: Maverick McNealy

Group fourteen is another competitive group that comes right down to the final match in 2022. Maverick McNealy and Russell Henley duel it out for a spot in the last 16 and in the end, it is McNealy who emerges as another surprise group winner. Maverick takes full advantage of being the last man into the field and he moves on.

Group Fifteen- Abraham Ancer, Webb Simpson, Brian Harman, Bubba Watson

Pick: Brian Harman

This may be the most entertaining group of the group stage at the WGC-Dell Match Play this year, whoever wins group fifteen will have well and truly earned it. Harman made a run to the quarterfinals here last year and he comes in probably playing the best golf over the last two weeks of anyone in this group. Brian Harman beats Bubba Watson once again, just as he did in the last 16 last year, and he wins a very competitive group in 2022.

Group Sixteen- Brooks Koepka, Shane Lowry, Harold Varner III, Erik Van Rooyen

Pick: Brooks Koepka

This will not be an easy group for Koepka but in the end, Lowry’s poor match play history is his undoing. Brooks is rounding into form in recent starts and he rides that momentum into Austin this week, he has two top 20 finishes in two of his last four starts and he played better at the Players Championship than perhaps the results would suggest. Koepka wins the group and sets up an enticing match with Jon Rahm in the next round.
