The 2022 RBC Heritage is the location for the PGA Tour this week, a significantly strong field will return to the iconic Harbour Town Golf Links in 2022.

This may be one of the best weeks for sleeper plays as there are plenty of viable options for a tournament that has a history of producing surprise winners.  If there was ever a week for a longshot winner, this is the one. Stewart Cink, CT Pan, Satoshi Kodaira, and Wesley Bryan are four of the last five winners of the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town. My model this week is heavy on approach and short game.

The purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider, but to highlight some under-the-radar options for fantasy lineups this week at the RBC Heritage.

The following are my best fantasy sleeper plays for The 2022 RBC Heritage

Adam Hadwin

Since missing the cut at the Genesis Invitational, Hadwin has strung together three consecutive top 10s at the Players (9th), Valspar (7th), and Valero (4th). Over the last 24 rounds, Hadwin is top 10 in the field in approach, putting, ball striking, and good drives gained. This is a sleeper play that comes with a cost because you won’t get much leverage on your competitors playing Hadwin, as he figures to be a fairly popular option this week. He will likely be one of the highest owned players on fantasy golf sites, but as one of the best longshot players in this week’s field, I think it’s worth taking a chance with him.

Tom Hoge

Hoge has three top 5s in his last 10 starts and is coming off three consecutive made cuts, including last week at the Masters. He prevailed to win at Pebble Beach, which is encouraging. Like Pebble Beach’s three courses, Harbour Town is a comparable track that is also under 7200 yards. Hoge is also top 10 in the field in approach, ball striking, and good drives gained over his last 24 rounds. He tends to struggle with the flat stick, but as an under-the-radar play this week he is worth taking a chance with, after having been someone who has found himself in contention when he starts rolling them in.

Sebastian Munoz

Munoz hasn’t played since the Players last month so he may be flying into this tournament under the radar. He’s made the cut in his last five events and hasn’t finished worse than 39th in any of these starts. The fields were five of the eight strongest of the season so far, so Munoz can certainly hold his own against the best players. His numbers are green across the board in most of the key stats I’m looking at so he’s not going to need to rely on just one aspect of his game to record a high finish this week at the RBC Heritage.

Sepp Straka

Straka is playing at the best level of his young career right now. He’s made the cut in eight of his last nine starts, including last week in his first Masters appearance. He finished top 10 in the strongest field of the year so far at the Players and broke through for his first career win at the Honda Classic. Harbour Town has some of the smallest greens on tour and therefore some of the hardest to hit. Straka ranks third in the field in greens-in-regulation and has the short game to get up and down when he does miss.

Matthew NeSmith

There’s not much need to dip too low this week when looking for sleeper plays, but if you’re going to take a chance on a longshot it might as well be with the guy who proposed to his wife on the 18th green on this very course. The South Carolina native’s favorite course is Harbour Town and he’s never missed a cut here in his two starts. He was in contention on Sunday a few weeks ago at Innisbrook and finished in third. He missed the cut in his last outing but he hasn’t missed consecutive cuts all season. He ranks 28th in my model this week and is a great sleeper play to take a chance with this week at the RBC Heritage.
