Thursday at the RBC Heritage has seen some fantastic scoring already and Corey Conners produced his own special round that was highlighted by an Ace.

Canadian Corey Conners has been on quite the run recently, and during his excellent opening round at the 2022 RBC Heritage things only got sweeter for the 2019 Valero Texas Open winner.

There have already been some fantastic scores on the opening Thursday of the event at Harbour Town. Cameron Young has produced the best round of the day up to this point and he currently sits alone at the top of the leaderboard after an opening-round 63.

Mito Pereira, Patrick Cantlay, Shane Lowry, and Graeme McDowell have also gotten off to fast starts. Then there is Corey Conners who had quite the exhilarating opening round as he recorded six birdies, a double bogey, and what has to be the highlight of round one so far, an ace on the Par 3, 7th hole.

Conners has a history of creating magical moments on Par 3’s. He famously made an ace on the Par 3, 6th, during the 2021 Masters. Thursday he added another ace to his collection at Harbour Town.

The Canadian was already having a very nice opening round when he stepped into the tee box on the Par 3, 7th, on Thursday. Corey is one the best ball-strikers on the PGA Tour, he ranked 3rd in that department coming into this week, and after another fantastic round that is very likely to improve moving forward.

The 30-year-old Conners struck his tee shot on the 7th and gazed at it as it flew through the air and towards the green, he had that look that the best golfers have when they hit a great shot and know it has the potential to be special.

He was correct, as his ball found the green and made a direct line for the hole after taking several bounces, the pace was perfect, the line was perfect, and the ball rolled into the cup as if there was never going to be any other outcome.
