The popular ‘The Match’ event returns once again this June, but this time there is a twist, the competition will feature NFL Quarterbacks only.

This will be the first time since the famous event started in 2018 that it will feature an all NFL foursome. Both Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Tom Brady, and the Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers will return for another rendition in Las Vegas this summer.

They are set to be joined by Buffalo Bills superstar Quarterback Josh Allen, and 2019 Super Bowl winner Patrick Mahomes, of the Kansas City Chiefs. Both young stars are poised to make their debut in the event that is set to take place at the Wynn Las Vegas on June 1st.

It wasn’t that long ago that Josh Allen was seen on the course on our TVs after the Bills star teed it up at Pebble Beach earlier this year in the 2022 Pebble Beach Pro-Am. An event that both Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers have also taken part in at one time or another.

This Summers ‘The Match’ to feature future Hall of Fame Quarterbacks vs Rising Stars in the NFL

The Match will see two future Hall of Fame Quarterbacks nearing the end of their illustrious careers taking on two of the NFL’s brightest young stars in Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen, who also would appear headed for the Hall of Fame when all is said and done, though it is still early.

Tom Brady was fired up when he announced the event on Social Media on Monday Tweeting:

The Tampa Bay Quarterback has taken part in ‘The Match’ on two different occasions, both times he has been on the losing end. Brady and Phil Mickelson were beaten by Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning in the ‘Champions For Charity’ event in 2020. Tom would lose once again when partnered with Phil Mickelson in 2021 during ‘The Match IV’, it was Aaron Rodgers alongside Bryson DeChambeau who inflicted the defeat on that day.

The event began in 2018 with Tiger vs Phil and this summer will mark the 6th edition of ‘The Match’, though it has not always been played under that title. Brooks Koepka famously defeated rival Bryson DeChambeau last November in what was simply known as ‘Bryson vs Brooks’.

According to Golf Digest, the event does not currently have a name for this summer yet, but it is surely set to be one of the most viewed editions of the event with its all NFL Superstar cast.
