2022 Wells Fargo Championship: Top 10 Power Rankings at TPC Potomac
Corey Conners has quietly produced a strong 2021-22 PGA Tour season. He’s up to a career-high 31st in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Without a win under his belt lately, climbing that high in the rankings requires some consistency. The Canadian owns two top-10s and seven top-25s.

He’s seen the course in competition.
Conners finished T-41st at the 2018 Quicken Loans National with rounds of 69-70-70-69.
The Kent State alum comes into the week off of two weeks of rest. It’s time to ramp back up for major championship season. Conners looks to build off his best career finish at a major, a T-6th at the Masters.
He followed it up a week later with T-12th at the RBC Heritage. That was Conners’ sixth-straight-made cut, which includes third place at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.
The 2021 Olympian has grabbed the throne as his country’s top golfer. He’s now due to grab another trophy after his lone career victory at the Valero Texas Open is more than three years in the rearview mirror.
The 30-year-old ranks sixth on the PGA Tour in strokes gained off the tee (.671). That’s not one of my top stats to watch this week. However, he’s fairly long and accurate, which means he might be able to push it with driver more than others fearful of spraying it. Conners is 37th in fairway accuracy (65.2%), averages over 300 yards off the tee and is third in distance from edge of fairway (19’5”), meaning his missed fairways aren’t far off line.
