Sebastian Munoz maintains his lead going into Sunday’s final round at the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson as he looks for his first win since 2019.

TPC Craig Ranch hasn’t exactly been a difficult test for the PGA’s best this week but it has undoubtedly treated both fans and players alike to plenty of drama and intrigue over the course of the first three rounds.

Colombian Sebastian Munoz has led at the end of each round this week and he will attempt to become the fourth player already this season to go wire-to-wire. Jon Rahm accomplished the feat just a couple of weeks ago in Mexico, other names to have recorded wire-to-wire victories in 2022 include, Joaquin Niemann (Genesis), and Cameron Smith (Sentry).

Sunday’s final round at the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson is set to be an enthralling one with an incredible ten players within five shots of the lead, and with numerous players already having recorded multiple rounds of 65 or better this week, it’s anyone’s guess as to who will walk away with the trophy this week.

Let’s take a look at several names that could supplant Sebastian at the top of the pile come Sunday evening.

Potential winners of the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson during Sunday’s final round.

Jordan Spieth

Let’s start with the most obvious name in Jordan Spieth who came into this week fresh off a win at the 2022 RBC Heritage in his last start. Spieth is a man who is feeling good about his game at the moment and he has demonstrated this on the course this week in Texas.

The three-time Major champion has gotten better each and every day this week, after opening with a 67 (-5) round on Thursday he proceeded to record rounds of 65 (-7) and 64 (-8) over the next two days. Jordan, who sits just one shot back of Munoz’s lead going into the final round, has been solid across the board this week gaining strokes in every category.

Jordan goes into Sunday with the second-highest chance (%27.9) of walking away with the trophy when all is said and done. He will be looking to claim his third top 5 finish of 2022 and second consecutive win on Tour during the final round of the AT&T Byron Nelson.

Justin Thomas

It is hard to believe that Justin’s last win on Tour came last year at the 2021 Players Championship. Since then the eighth-ranked player in the World has ten top 10 finishes including six top 5s during that span. He has posted five top 5 finishes in 2022 alone and will be looking to break through and win once again.

The 2017 PGA Championship winner placed himself firmly back in the mix this week after firing a 64, eight-under round on moving day. He will go into the final round three shots behind leader Munoz. Thomas is fifth-best in the field this week in strokes gained tee to green (+2.74) and he currently is given the fourth-best chance (%9.9) of picking up the win on Sunday.

K.H. Lee

The defending AT&T Byron Nelson champion is still very much in the mix this week and he will begin his final round four shots back. The 30-year-old is looking to pick up his first top 10 finish of the year Sunday after he finally displayed some positive signs that his game was trending in the right direction last week at the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship where he finished 25th.

The result doesn’t sound like much, but considering the fact that it broke a string of three consecutive missed cuts for Lee, it was a welcome sight. K.H. has been solid across the board so far this week gaining strokes in every category, this includes a sixth-best amongst the field in tee to green (+2.65). The 2021 champion should certainly not be counted out this week as he fired a 66 (-6) during the final round last year at TPC Craig Ranch to seal the deal.

Those are just several names to monitor going into the final round of the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson, and with a congested leaderboard on a very gettable course, we are surely set up for plenty of fireworks on Sunday with a host of names still having a very realistic shot at winning.
