2022 PGA Championship Updated Odds: Rahm, Scheffler Co-Favorites
Jon Rahm and Scottie Scheffler are joint favorites to lift the Wanamaker trophy next week at Southern Hills.
The AT&T Byron Nelson is officially in the books and that means that attention can now turn towards the year’s second Major, the 104th PGA Championship at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Despite solid performances from Rory McIlroy at the Wells Fargo Championship, and both Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas in Texas, the trio are still not favored going into the second Major Championship of 2022.
That honor belongs to both Masters champion Scottie Scheffler and last year’s U.S. Open winner Jon Rahm. Both players are currently listed as joint favorites to win the PGA Championship at Sothern Hills according to WynnBet.
As for last year’s champion golfer of the year Collin Morikawa? he is listed as the fourth favorite to lift the famous Wanamaker trophy for a second time next week. Here is how the rest of the current top 10 over on WynnBet shakes out going into this week’s PGA Championship.

The last time the PGA Championship was played at Southern Hills was back in 2007 when a triumphant Tiger Woods won his 13th Major Championship. The course will host its 8th Major Championship this week.
Co-favorite Scottie Scheffler will attempt to win a second consecutive Major this year at a site that he reportedly loves this week. The World number one has made two appearances since his breakthrough Major victory at Augusta National in early April. Scheffler played alongside teammate Ryan Palmer at the Zurich Classic last month where the pair finished T18th.
He continued preparations by teeing it up at the AT&T Byron Nelson over the weekend where he finished T15th.
Jon Rahm will be making his first start since his win at the Mexico Open at the beginning of May.
The year’s second Major is full of fascinating storylines. Tiger Woods will be making his first start since his miraculous return at the Masters in April, Jordan Spieth can complete the career Grand Slam at Southern Hills and become just the sixth player in the history of the game to complete the rare feat. Rory McIlroy, meanwhile, looks to win his first Major since his victory at the 2014 PGA Championship at Valhalla.
Then there is Scottie Scheffler, who with a win, can keep dreams of winning all four Majors in a single year alive, nobody in the history of golf has ever done that. Tiger Woods, in 2000 came close after winning the U.S. Open, British Open, and PGA Championship that year. He went on to win the Masters the following year and became the first player to hold all four Major titles at the same time. The only other player that came close was Ben Hogan in 1953 when he managed to win three of the four Majors but was unable to compete in the PGA Championship that year.
The 104th PGA Championship at Southern Hills begins Thursday, May 19th.
