This week, the PGA Tour travels to Toronto for the 2022 RBC Canadian Open. Let’s take a look at this tournament from a fantasy golf perspective!

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

*It should be noted that the RBC Canadian Open was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here are my fantasy golf/DFS picks for the 2022 RBC Canadian Open.

Cameron Smith

Since the beginning of March, Cameron Smith has played five events on the PGA Tour. In those five tournaments just mentioned, Smith has accumulated an impressive four top 13 finishes, including a win at the 2022 Players Championship.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2022 RBC Canadian Open field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Cameron Smith ranks sixth in strokes gained tee to green, third in strokes gained approach, ninth in strokes gained putting, and ninth in bogey avoidance.

Adam Svensson

Canadian Adam Svensson has posted some quality results on the PGA Tour this season. Let me be more specific. Svensson finished seventh at the 2022 Sony Open in January, ninth at the 2022 Honda Classic in February, and 26th at the 2022 RBC Heritage in April.

I think Adam Svensson will be motivated to perform at a high level on home soil. Having stated that, my fantasy golf/DFS lineups will certainly have plenty of exposure to Svensson this week.

Matt Wallace

Matt Wallace arrives at this week’s 2022 RBC Canadian Open on the heels of two consecutive top 18 finishes on the DP World Tour, including a fifth-place result at the 2022 Dutch Open two weeks ago.

Tyler Duncan

Two weeks ago, Tyler Duncan fired a final round 67 at the 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge en route to an eventual 15th place finish.

Tyler Duncan is not a golfer you will find in any statistical model. Duncan is the type of golfer that can post a top ten finish in a PGA Tour event if he is given the opportunity to play a golf course that suits his game. In my opinion, the course that Tyler Duncan will play this week is perfect for his current skill set. Having stated that, I think Duncan has the potential to post a top ten finish this week.

Additional golfers I like this week: Mackenzie Hughes: Jhonattan Vegas: Shane Lowry: Rory McIlroy.
