After a four-week hiatus, LIV Golf returns to action this week in New Jersey, here is everything you need to know about LIV Golf Bedminster.

LIV Golf travels to Bedminster, New Jersey, this week for the series’ third event of the year.

Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in Bedminster, New Jersey, will host the controversial Greg Norman-led series’ second event in the U.S. this year after LIV made its’ American debut in Portland last month.

This week’s event will be the second of five scheduled stateside stops this year with LIV Golf also planning to make stops in Boston and Chicago before the season-ending event takes place in Miami in late October.

The field of 48 players this week will feature four new additions who have joined since Portland, as LIV Golf continues to entice some of the biggest names in the sport.

As with the previous two events during the series’ inaugural season, this week’s event in Bedminster will once again feature 54 holes of no-cut action across all three days with shotgun starts throughout.

Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, and company, will be competing for an eye-opening 20 million dollar purse this week with an additional five million on offer for the three highest finishing teams this week in New Jersey.

LIV Golf welcomes Henrik Stenson, Jason Kokrak, and Charles Howell III.

2016 Open Champion, Henrik Stenson made headlines this week after his rumored departure to LIV Golf was officially confirmed.

The Swede, who was subsequently stripped of his European Ryder Cup captaincy, joins Jason Kokrak and Charles Howell III as the three most recent additions to the LIV Golf series.

The trio will join Englishman Paul Casey as the newest faces on the LIV series since Portland last month. Casey made the somewhat surprising announcement that he would be joining the Saudi-backed series earlier in July.

LIV Golf’s ever-changing roster continues to rotate players in and out and since its’ inaugural LIV London event in June, fourteen names have now made way for newer additions.

Here are the five from Portland who will not be part of LIV Bedminster this week:

  • Adrian Otaegui
  • Blake Windred
  • Itthipat Buranatanyarat
  • Ian Snyman
  • Sihwan Kim

Trump National Golf Club Bedminster

The Old Course at Trump National GC Bedminster was supposed to host this year’s PGA Championship in May before a decision was made to move the major to its’ eventual host, Southern Hills.

The Tom Fazio, 7,580 yard, Par 72 design did host the 2017 U.S. Women’s Open, however. The course which is described as having “sprawling bunkers and brilliantly contoured greens in a tranquil setting” has been ranked as one of the “Top 100 Courses in the World”.
