Emiliano Grillo hasn’t left the Sanderson Farms Championship empty-handed in three appearances.

The Argentine finished T-39th (67-71-73-70) in 2019, T-35th (69-72-71-69) in 2020 and T-39th (70-69-66-72) in 2021.

“I know you’re going to have perfect greens, these are probably the best greens of all year,” Grillo was transcribed by ASAP Sports in 2021. “It’s a golf course that I like, it fits my eye and it’s Bermuda. You know, I live in Florida for eight years, so I know what I’m going to find and I know what I have to do and all I have to do is just execute the shots.”

Grillo ranked sixth in the field last year in total strokes gained off the tee (3.158) and was 12th in SG approach (3.39). He’s one of the best at blending power and accuracy with driver. Grillo was sixth in total driving with a score of 99, combining driving distance (58th, 305.6) and driving accuracy (41st, 64.07%).

The 30-year-old is coming off a nice 2021-22 PGA Tour season where he finished 53rd in the FedEx Cup standings. Grillo’s highlights included T-2nd at the John Deere Classic and 3M Open.

He ranked 18th in SG off the tee per round (.48) and 25th in birdies per round (4.05).

He’s on a streak of four made cuts, all top-31, heading to the Country Club of Jackson. Grillo got off to a solid start to 2022-23 by taking T-25th at the Fortinet Championship a couple weeks ago.
