Tom Kim continues to impress. The 20-year-old South Korean phenom won his second PGA Tour title in the last two months with a three-shot victory last week at the Shriners Children’s Open.

Kim became the first player since Tiger Woods in 1996 to win twice before the age of 21.

“It’s really amazing. A few months ago, I didn’t have any status in the U.S., and now being a two-time winner on Tour, having that place with Tiger, it’s an unbelievable feeling for me,” Kim was transcribed by ASAP Sports. “It’s an honor for me, and it’s definitely a dream come true.”

Kim fired 65-67-62-66 at TPC Summerlin. He played brilliant golf, emerging from a crowded leaderboard and benefitting from second-place finisher Patrick Cantlay making triple bogey on the 72nd hole.

Not only did Kim not make any triple bogeys for the week. He didn’t make any bogeys, period. He finished 100% in scrambling to lead the field, was third in greens in regulation (87.5%), and third in total strokes gained tee to green (8.933).

This continues the fun for Kim who, despite a 2-3-0 record, was one of the stars for the undermanned International team at the Presidents Cup. His two wins came in flourishing finishes, endearing him to fans around the world.

Kim’s win at the Wyndham Championship in August featured a front-nine 27 on Sunday to separate from the field. That win allowed him to qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs, which he nearly parlayed into a Tour Championship appearance.

It’s all coming up aces for Kim these days.

It’ll be tough to go from Las Vegas to Japan to play a new course, but I think Kim is up to the task this week playing in his home continent.
