This week, the PGA Tour travels to Mexico for the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba. Let’s take a look at this week’s event from a fantasy golf perspective!

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Now let’s shift our focus to my fantasy golf/DFS player selections for this week’s World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba!

Fantasy Golf Picks: 2022 World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba

Emiliano Grillo

The 30-year-old arrives at this week’s World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba in decent form. More specifically, Grillo has accumulated two top-five finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive fourth-place result at the ZOZO Championship three weeks ago.

In relation to this week’s current listed World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Emiliano Grillo ranks ninth in GIR (greens in regulation) and tenth in birdies or better percentage.

It should also be noted that Emiliano Grillo finished eighth at the 2020 World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba.

Adam Long

Since the beginning of June, Adam Long has played nine tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those nine tournaments just noted, Long has accumulated five top-30 finishes, including a 13th-place result at the 2022 John Deere Classic in July.

Adam Long certainly checks the box for me when it comes to event/course history. Long has played this week’s PGA Tour event three times since 2019. In those three tournaments just mentioned, Long has accumulated three top-22 finishes, including a second-place result at the 2019 World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba.

Tom Hoge

Tom Hoge has accumulated five consecutive top-13 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a fourth-place result at the Shriners Children’s Open earlier this month.

In relation to this week’s current listed World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Tom Hoge ranks seventh in GIR (greens in regulation), eighth in birdie or better percentage, and 16th in bogey avoidance.

Thomas Detry

Last week, the 20-year-old fired a final round 67 at the Bermuda Championship en route to an eventual second-place finish.

Additional golfers I like this week: Viktor Hovland: Billy Horschel: Tyler Duncan.
