Fantasy Golf: Alfred Dunhill Championship DFS Player Selections
By Hans Geevers
This week, the DP World Tour travels to Leopard Creek Country Club for the Alfred Dunhill Championship. Let’s take a look at this week’s DP World Tour event from a fantasy golf perspective.
*The Alfred Dunhill Championship will have a field of 156 golfers. A standard cut will occur after the completion of round two. Keep that in mind as you select golfers for your fantasy golf lineups this week.
Now let’s shift our focus to my favorite fantasy golf player selections for this week’s Alfred Dunhill Championship!
2022 Alfred Dunhill Championship Fantasy golf/DFS Selections
Tom Mckibbin
Last week, Tom McKibbin fired a final round 69 at the South African Open on his way to an eventual 15th-place finish.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout
The talented young South African has accumulated two consecutive top-five finishes on the DP World Tour, including a fifth-place result at the Nedbank Challenge last month.
It should also be noted that Bezuidenhout won the 2020 Alfred Dunhill Championship.
Ashun Wu
Ashun Wu has accumulated three top-23 finishes in his last three tournaments played on the DP World Tour, including a 16th-place result at the Mallorca Golf Open last month.
Ashun Wu is currently ranked tenth in average putts per round (27.50) and 18th in driving accuracy (73.80%) on the DP World Tour.
Jbe’ Kruger
Two weeks ago, Jbe’ Kruger fired a first-round 65 at the Joburg Open en route to an eventual 24th-place finish.
Due to the fact that Jbe’ Kruger played relatively well at the Joburg Open, I decided to take a hard look at Kruger’s statistics relative to the field. After four rounds of competitive play at the Joburg Open, Kruger ranked third in scrambling (66.7%) and 11th in GIR (greens in regulation-77.8%).
Kruger also finished 16th at the 2014 Alfred Dunhill Championship.
Additional golfers I like this week: Charl Schwartzel: Dean Burmester: Scott Vincent: Scott Jamieson.
