Fantasy Golf: 2023 Honda Classic DFS Player Selections

This week, the PGA Tour travels to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, for the 2023 Honda Classic. Let’s take a look at this week’s PGA Tour event from a fantasy golf perspective!

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

*Only eight of the top 50 golfers in the OWGR (Official World Golf Rankings) are currently listed in the 2023 Honda Classic field. Keep that in mind as you construct your fantasy golf lineups this week.  

Now let’s shift our focus to my fantasy golf/DFS player selections for the 2023 Honda Classic.

Fantasy Golf: 2023 Honda Classic DFS Player Selections

Adam Svensson

Adam Svensson fired a first round 67 at last week’s 2023 Genesis Invitational on his way to an eventual ninth-place finish.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 Honda Classic field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Adam Svensson ranks second in strokes gained around the green and 15th in strokes gained putting.

It should also be noted that Adam Svensson finished ninth at the 2022 Honda Classic.

Chris Kirk

Chris Kirk has accumulated two top-three finishes in his last three tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a third-place result at the 2023 American Express four weeks ago.

I also like the fact that Chris Kirk has played well at this week’s PGA Tour event in the past. More specifically, Kirk finished seventh at this event last year.

Denny McCarthy

Denny McCarthy has accumulated two top-14 finishes in his last three events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive fourth-place result at the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am three weeks ago.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 Honda Classic field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Denny McCarthy ranks fifth in birdie or better percentage and sixth in strokes gained putting.

Denny McCarthy finished third at the 2021 Honda Classic.
