This week, the PGA Tour travels to Palm Harbor, Florida, for the 2023 Valspar Championship. A quality field of talent will compete to win the final event of the Florida swing. Let’s take a look at this week’s Valspar Championship from a fantasy golf perspective!

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Now let’s shift our focus to my fantasy golf/DFS player selections for the 2023 Valspar Championship.

Fantasy Golf: 2023 Valspar Championship DFS Selections and Picks

Tommy Fleetwood

Since the beginning of November, Tommy Fleetwood has played eight tournaments (DP World and PGA Tours combined). In those eight events just noted, Fleetwood has accumulated four top-27 finishes, including a win at the 2022 Nedbank Challenge.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 Valspar Championship field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Tommy Fleetwood ranks 14th in strokes gained approach, tenth in strokes gained tee to green, and third in birdie or better percentage.

I also like the fact that Tommy Fleetwood has posted a quality result at this week’s PGA Tour event in the past. Fleetwood finished 16th at the 2022 Valspar Championship.

Wyndham Clark

Wyndham Clark has accumulated two top-27 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a tenth-place result at the 2023 Waste Management Phoenix Open last month.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 Valspar Championship field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Wyndham Clark ranks eighth in bogey avoidance, eighth in strokes gained approach, and eighth in strokes gained tee to green.

Justin Suh

The 25-year-old American arrives at this week’s Valspar Championship on the heels of three consecutive top-24 finishes on the PGA Tour, including an impressive fifth-place result at the 2023 Honda Classic three weeks ago.

David Lingmerth

David Lingmerth fired a third-round 68 at last week’s 2023 Players Championship en route to an eventual sixth-place finish.

Due to the fact that David Lingmerth played so well at the 2023 Players Championship, I decided to take a hard look at Lingmerth’s statistics relative to the field.

After four rounds of competitive play at the 2023 Players Championship, in relation to the field, David Lingmerth ranked fifth in driving accuracy (73.2%), seventh in strokes gained approach (6.38), and seventh in strokes gained putting (5.09).
