This week, fantasy golf fans will be presented with one of the most prestigious events in all of golf, the 2023 Masters Tournament.

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

*The weather forecast for this week’s first major championship does not look good. Having stated that, I highly recommend that all fantasy golf/DFS players check the forecast closer to the start of the event on Thursday morning.

Here are my fantasy golf/DFS player selections for the 2023 Masters!

Tony Finau

Since the beginning of January, Tony Finau has played eight tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those eight events just noted, Finau has accumulated seven top 20 finishes, including a ninth-place result at the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 Masters Tournament field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Tony Finau ranks seventh in birdie or better percentage, eighth in bogey avoidance, and fourth in GIR (greens in regulation).

It should also be noted that Tony Finau finished fifth at the 2019 Masters Tournament.

Sungjae Im

Sungjae Im arrives at the first major championship of the year on the heels of two consecutive top 17 finishes, including a sixth-place finish at the 2023 Players Championship last month.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 Masters Tournament field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Sungjae Im ranks fifth in driving accuracy, third in birdies or better percentage, and sixth in strokes gained off the tee.

Sungjae Im’s best finish at the Masters Tournament is a second-place result in 2020.

Tommy Fleetwood

Three weeks ago, Tommy Fleetwood fired a first-round 68 at the 2023 Valspar Championship en route to an eventual third-place finish.

Tommy Fleetwood has played the Masters Tournament five times since 2018. In the five tournaments just noted, Fleetwood has accumulated three top 17 finishes, including a 14th-place result at the 2022 Masters Tournament.

Jason Day

Jason Day has accumulated five top-ten finishes in his last six tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a tenth-place result at the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational one month ago.

Jason Day finished fifth at the 2019 Masters Tournament.

Next. Jordan Spieth 'Re-Fell' in love with the game. dark
