Fantasy Golf: AT&T Byron Nelson DFS Player Selections
By Hans Geevers
This week, the PGA Tour travels to Dallas, Texas, for the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson. Let’s take a look at this week’s AT&T Byron Nelson from a fantasy golf perspective.
Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.
Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!
*TPC Craig Ranch began hosting the AT&T Byron Nelson in 2021. Keep that in mind as you review any previous tournament form/results for golfers in this field.
Now let’s shift our attention to my AT&T Byron Nelson fantasy selections!
Kyoung-Hoon Lee
The 31-year-old South Korean has accumulated three top-23 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including an eighth-place result at last week’s 2023 Wells Fargo Championship.
In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Kyoung-Hoon Lee ranks 11th in GIR (greens in regulation), third in strokes gained putting, and 14th in bogey avoidance.
Kyoung-Hoon Lee certainly checks the box for me when it comes to previous course/event history. Let me be more specific. Lee has played this week’s PGA Tour event twice since 2021. In the two tournaments just mentioned, Lee has accumulated two wins, including a victory at last year’s AT&T Byron Nelson.
Michael Kim
Michael Kim has accumulated two consecutive top-30 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a seventh-place result at the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship.
In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Michael Kim ranks third in GIR (greens in regulation),12th in tee to green, 13th in scrambling, and 15th in strokes gained putting.
Seamus Power
Seamus Power fired a third-round 67 at the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship en route to an eventual 18th-place finish.
Additionally, I like the fact that Seamus Power has played well at this tournament previously. Power posted a ninth-place result at the 2021 AT&T Byron Nelson.
Mark Hubbard
Mark Hubbard has accumulated three consecutive top 27 finishes on the PGA Tour, including an 11th-place result at the 2023 RBC Heritage last month.
Hubbard also finished 18th at the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson.
Additional golfers I like to play well this week: Tyrrell Hatton: Matt Kuchar: J.J. Spaun.
