This week, fantasy golf fans will be presented with the third major championship of the year, the 2023 U.S. Open. Let’s take a look at this prestigious event from a fantasy golf perspective!

*The 2023 U.S. Open will be played at the Los Angeles Country Club (North Course) in Los Angeles, California. The course is a par 70 that measures approximately 7,421 yards.

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my fantasy golf/DFS player selections for the 2023 U.S. Open.

Max Homa

Max Homa has accumulated five top-14 finishes in his last eight events played on the PGA Tour, including a second-place result at the Genesis Invitational in February.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 U.S. Open field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Max Homa ranks second in strokes gained putting and seventh in birdie or better percentage.

It should also be noted that Max Homa’s last two PGA tournament wins took place in the state of California (2023 Farmers Insurance Open: 2023 Fortinet Championship).

In summary, I like Max Homa’s chances of posting another quality tournament result in California at this week’s U.S. Open.

Adam Scott

The 2013 Masters Champion has accumulated three top-nine finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including a ninth-place result at the 2023 Memorial Tournament two weeks ago.

Scott finished 14th at the 2022 U.S. Open.

Corey Conners

The 31-year-old Canadian arrives at this week’s 2023 U.S. Open in rather good form. Since the beginning of April, Corey Conners has played seven tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those seven events just mentioned, Conners has accumulated four top-20 finishes, including a 12th-place result at the 2023 PGA Championship last month.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 U.S. Open field, in the last 50 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Corey Conners ranks third in strokes gained tee to green, sixth in strokes gained off the tee, seventh in strokes gained approach, and first in GIR (greens in regulation).

Tyrrell Hatton

Since the beginning of March, Tyrrell Hatton has played ten tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those ten events just noted, Hatton has accumulated seven top-19 finishes, including a third-place finish at last week’s 2023 RBC Canadian Open.

It should be noted that Tyrrell Hatton has posted a quality result at the U.S. Open in the past. Hatton finished sixth at the 2018 U.S. Open.
