Max Homa hysterically trolls good friend Justin Thomas during hilarious press conference prior to this week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Justin Thomas, world-class two-time Major winning golfer, and now, golf media reporter?

In today’s news from the PGA Tour friendship that’s the Gift that Keeps on Giving, Justin Thomas made an appearance at Max Homa’s Rocket Mortgage Classic media availability. Thomas waited until the end of Homa’s availability before the mic was handed off to him in the back row.

“God. It’s gotta be about rosé,” Homa chuckled upon spotting who the mic was handed to for the final question.

“Hey, man. Justin. I’m playing in the tournament this week. Of your pairing last week, who was your favorite to play with that wasn’t Wyndham Clark and why?” Newly media credentialed JT asked.

“I think I’d have to go with Justin Thomas… he makes me feel tall and funny-,”

“Alright that’s the end of the question,” Thomas cut off the California golfer.

The two earned a good laugh out of media members and the whole exchange provided a great snippet ahead of the Rocket Mortgage Classic, kicking off Thursday morning at Detroit Golf Club.

Max Homa will be teeing off at 12:54 p.m. ET and JT will follow shortly after at 1:05 p.m. ET.

Last year, Max Homa finished T24 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Justin Thomas will be making his first appearance at the tournament, which replaced the Quicken Loans National in 2019 and is the first PGA Tour tournament to be held within Detroit city limits.

Thomas will be on the hunt for a spot high on the leaderboard as he sets his sights on the FedEx Cup playoffs. He currently sits at 66th in the FedEx Cup standings, well outside the top 30 eligibility for the Tour Championship at East Lake in August.

However, if his golf game this weekend looks as good as his newly found journalistic talent (or Homa’s comedic skills), we know he’ll do just fine.
