This week, the USGA presents fantasy golf fans with the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open. A stacked field of talent will travel to beautiful Pebble Beach, California, for the opportunity to win a major championship. Let’s take a look at this prestigious event from a fantasy golf perspective.

The 2023 U.S. Women’s Open will be played at the Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California.

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Now let’s shift our attention to my favorite fantasy golf/DFS player selections!

2023 U.S. Women’s Open DFS Player Selections

Rose Zhang

The talented young American has accumulated two consecutive top-eight finishes on the LPGA Tour, including a win at the 2023 Mizuho Americas Open last month.

It should be noted that Rose Zhang made her debut on the LPGA Tour at the 2023 Mizuho Americas Open. In my opinion, it is beyond impressive for Rose Zhang to have won the first tournament she participated in on the LPGA Tour. Having stated that, I certainly like Rose Zhang’s chances to post a quality result at this week’s 2023 U.S. Women’s Open.

Hye Jin Choi

Hye Jin Choi has accumulated two top-13 finishes on the LPGA Tour, including an eighth-place result at the 2023 Meijer LPGA Classic three weeks ago.

Hye Jin Choi also finished third at the 2022 U.S. Women’s Open.

Ashleigh Buhai

Since the beginning of May, Ashleigh Buhai has played five tournaments on the LPGA Tour. In those five events played, Ashleigh Buhai has accumulated four top-13 finishes, including a win at the 2023 ShopRite LPGA Classic in June.

Ashleigh Buhai is currently ranked 19th in driving accuracy (82.11%), fifth in putts per GIR (1.74), and first in total birdies made (185) on the LPGA Tour.

Jenny Shin

Jenny Shin arrives at this week’s 2023 U.S. Women’s Open on the heels of two consecutive top-eight finishes on the LPGA Tour, including an eighth-place result at the 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship two weeks ago.

Jenny Shin finished 23rd at the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open.
