After a T13 finish at The Open Championship, a win at Memorial, and racking up top 20 finishes (including two within the top 10) at all four majors this year, Viktor Hovland has earned some time off.

He’s spending his mini-break in his home country before the FedEx Cup playoffs kick off in just two short weeks. And from the looks of it, the trip is nothing short of what we’d expect from the Norwegian golfer- all smiles and fun.

In an Instagram video shared by a friend of Hovland’s, the fifth-ranked golfer in the world can be seen sitting in his golf cart with an adorable pup in tow, pointing at and laughing at the unlikely lie of their opponents’ golf ball.

Has Viktor Hovland ever gone more than five seconds without smiling?

If so, we’ve never seen it.

The group of friends are playing at Lofoten Links on the Lofoten Islands, a beautifully rugged course with stunning views of Hovland’s home country.

An idyllic course, playing with (and seemingly beating) your best buds, and a cute dog to keep you company in the cart- we cannot think of anything else you might need on your week off.

Viktor Hovland currently sits seventh in the FedEx Cup rankings after a very successful and consistently played season. He has not missed a cut at a tournament since last year’s Scottish Open and has seven top-ten finishes this year; his fourth year on Tour.

After a year of great play and a relaxing vacation to cap off the regular season, we will be looking for Hovland to make a strong start in the first of the three FedEx Cup playoff events. Beginning with the FedEx St. Jude Championship on August 10th in Memphis at TPC Southwind.
