This week, the LPGA Tour travels to England for the 2023 AIG Women’s Open. A stacked field of talent, including defending champion Ashleigh Buhai, will attempt to win the last major championship of the season. Let’s take a look at this week’s tournament from a fantasy golf perspective!

The 2023 AIG Open Championship will be played at the Walton Heath Golf Club in Surrey, England. The golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 6,649 yards.

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my DFS/fantasy golf player selections for the year’s final major!

2023 AIG Women’s Open DFS Selections

Esther Henseleit

The talented young German arrives at this week’s major championship in rather good form. Let me be more specific.  Esther Henseleit has accumulated three consecutive top 20 finishes on the LPGA Tour, including a 14th-place result at the 2023 Amundi Evian Championship two weeks ago.

Jenny Shin

Since the beginning of June, Jenny Shin has played eight events on the LPGA Tour. In those eight tournaments just mentioned, Jenny Shin has accumulated five top 17 finishes, including an eighth-place result at the 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

Jenny Shin also finished sixth at the 2017 AIG Women’s Open.

Madelene Sagstrom

Last week, Madelene Sagstrom fired a first-round 66 at the 2023 Women’s Scottish Open en route to an eventual ninth-place finish.

I also like the fact that Madelene Sagstrom has played well at the AIG Women’s Open in the past. Sagstrom finished fourth at the 2022 AIG Women’s Open.

Andrea Lee

Andrea Lee has accumulated two top 20 finishes in her last three tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, including a ninth-place result at the 2023 Women’s Scottish Open.
