LPGA Fantasy Golf: CPKC Women’s Open DFS Player Selections
By Hans Geevers
This week, the LPGA Tour travels north to Canada for the 2023 CPKC Women’s Open. Let’s take a look at this prestigious event from a fantasy golf perspective.
The 2023 CPKC Women’s Open will be played at the Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The golf course is a par 72 that measures 6,709 yards.
Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.
Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!
Now let’s shift our focus to my favorite DFS/fantasy golf player selections for Canada’s National Open!
2023 CPKC Women’s Open DFS Player Selections
Brooke Henderson
The talented Canadian has accumulated three top 15 finishes in her last six tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, including a second-place result at the 2023 Amundi Evian Championship four weeks ago.
It should also be noted that Brooke Henderson finished third at the 2019 CPKC Women’s Open.
Megan Khang
Megan Khang has accumulated four consecutive top 30 finishes on the LPGA Tour, including a 13th-place result at the 2023 Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational in July.
Ayaka Furue
Ayaka Furue has accumulated five top 21 finishes in her last seven tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, including an impressive sixth-place result at the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open in July.
Ayaka Furue also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Furue is currently ranked fourth in driving accuracy (83.65%), first in total rounds under par (38), 18th in putts per GIR (greens in regulation-1.78), and 11th in scoring average (70.55) on the LPGA Tour.
Xiyu Lin
Since the beginning of June, Xiyu Lin has played seven events on the LPGA Tour. In those seven tournaments just mentioned, Lin has accumulated six top 21 finishes, including a fourth-place result at the 2023 Dana Open last month.
Additional golfers I like this week: Nelly Korda: Alex Pano: Ryann O’Toole.
