This week, the LIV Golf Tour travels to Illinois for LIV Golf Chicago. A stacked field of talent, including defending champion Cameron Smith, will compete over three days for the right to hold the coveted winner’s trophy on Sunday afternoon. Let’s take a look at this event from a fantasy golf perspective!

The 2023 LIV Golf Chicago event will be played at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,408 yards.

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my fantasy golf/DFS player selections for LIV Golf Chicago!

Dustin Johnson

Since the beginning of March, Dustin Johnson has played ten events on the LIV Golf Tour. In those ten tournaments just noted, Johnson has accumulated seven top-13 finishes, including a win at the 2023 LIV Golf Tulsa event in May.

Dustin Johnson currently ranks second in birdie or better percentage (4.88), third in driving distance (316.7 yards), and fifth in GIR (greens in regulation-73.07%) on the LIV Golf Tour.

Additionally, Dustin Johnson finished third at the 2022 LIV Golf Chicago event.

Brooks Koepka

Since the beginning of April, Brooks Koepka has played 12 tournaments (LIV Golf and PGA Tour combined). In those 12 events just noted, Koepka has accumulated an impressive nine top 17 finishes, including a win at the 2023 PGA Championship in May.

It should also be noted that Koepka was recently named to the American Ryder Cup team. Having stated that, I have a strong feeling that Brooks is motivated to play at a high level at this week’s event in Chicago.

Patrick Reed

The 2018 Masters champion has accumulated three top-five finishes in his last four events played on the LIV Golf Tour, including a second-place result at the 2023 LIV Golf London event in July.

Patrick Reed also finished sixth at the 2022 LIV Golf Chicago event.
