This week, fantasy golf fans will be presented with the 2023 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Let’s take a look at this week’s tournament from a DraftKings/fantasy golf perspective!
Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.
Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!
Here are my fantasy golf player selections for the 2023 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
2023 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship DFS Selections
Louis Oosthuizen $8,900
For those readers who are not aware, the 2023 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship will have multiple LIV Tour players in the field, including South African Louis Oosthuizen. Frankly, I like Oosthuizen’s chances to be the one LIV golfer in this week’s field to post a top-five finish this week.
It should also be noted that Louis Oosthuizen has played well at this tournament in the past. Oosthuizen finished tenth at the 2022 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Billy Horschel $9,300
Billy Horschel has accumulated four top-20 finishes in his last five events played (DP World and PGA Tours combined), including an impressive fourth-place finish at the 2023 Wyndham Championship in August.
Matthew Southgate $7,900
Matthew Southgate has accumulated four top-23 finishes in his last six tournaments played on the DP World Tour, including a ninth-place result at the 2023 ISPS Handa World Invitational.
Additionally, Matthew Southgate finished second at the 2019 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Richie Ramsay $7,400
The 40-year-old Scotsman has accumulated two consecutive top-28 finishes on the DP World Tour, including a 20th-place result at the 2023 Cazoo Open de France last month.
Richie Ramsay has always been a golfer who can post good scores on coastal golf courses. I think that trend continues at this week’s DP World Tour event.
