2024 Black Desert Championship: Top 10 power rankings at Black Desert Resort

The fall swing continues as the PGA Tour heads to unfamiliar territory this week. Black Desert Resort, hosting its first Tour tournament ever, will be the site of the fall's third event. Players will continue to battle for Tour cards and positioning this week in Utah.

4) Seamus Power

A bizarre hip injury sidelined Power for four months in 2023, but the pain might have hindered his play for an even longer period. It's taken him the better part of a year, but the Irishman seems to be finding his footing again.

His last three performances don't stand out (T11-T26-T10), but they show the streakiness that had him ranked as high as 28th in the OWGR last Winter.

It is well-known that the fall fields feature a less proven group of players. Power, a two-time PGA Tour winner, is one of the few exceptions. There is no doubt he belongs inside the top 50, but a 53rd-place FedEx Cup ranking (good enough to get him in two early-season Signature Events) will suffice for now.

3) Lucas Glover

The talk of the town last summer, Glover won back-to-back weeks at the Wyndham and FedEx St. Jude Championship.

2024 was a stark reminder that Father Time is knocking on the door; he amassed just one top ten in 23 tries.

His last two starts have offered some hope. Glover finished T13 at the Procore and followed it up with a T3 last week.

The 44-year-old has lost a ton of power due to his age, so he often relies on his potent putting stroke to score. That magical putter that propelled him to consecutive wins in 2023 seems to be coming back. Combine that with a spike iron week and Glover has as good of a shot as anyone to conquer the Black Desert.
