2024 Shriners Children's Open: Top 10 power rankings at TPC Summerlin

The fall swing sets its sights on the Sin City this week, as TPC Summerlin will host the Shriners Children's Open -- the fourth of eight fall events. Players will continue to vie for Tour cards and positioning for the 2025 season.

2) Matt McCarty

I highlighted McCarty's incredible victory earlier, but his resolve cannot be overstated. In NBA discourse, people point to certain guys who are just winners everywhere they play. McCarty seems to be the golf equivalent of that at the moment.

McCarty hit the shot of his life on the drivable par-4 fourteenth, slamming the door shut with a low, piercing draw to inside four feet for an eagle.

As he hit his tee shot on the 18th, his college teammate and longtime caddie Dev Das did not even need to look. "I just knew where it was going. I was looking at my buddy; I didn't even see the shot," Das said.

It looked like just another day at the office for the 26-year-old. But then again, maybe it was because all this guy does is win. He is making his debut at TPC Summerlin, but he deserves every bit of this ranking. Doubt him at your own risk.

1) Tom Kim

Back-to-back-to-back like the 90s Bulls?

Kim has not teed it up on Tour since the FedEx St. Jude Championship, but he was a part of the International Team at the Presidents Cup earlier this fall. Surely his performance in Montreal was uneventful. Right?

He now returns to a place so dear to him. Kim has TPC Summerlin in a chokehold; there is no other way to put it. His accuracy over distance style works to perfection at a venue that rewards precision.

Steve Stricker was the last to win an event three consecutive times. Chaos is ubiquitous in Vegas -- Kim looks to make history.
