Ryan Fox has done it again, folks.

For the second time in just under a month, the New Zealand native collected a winner's paycheck, once again doing so in dramatic fashion in a playoff.

At last month's alternate-event OneFlight Myrtle Beach Classic, Fox, a four-time winner on the DP World Tour, captured his first PGA Tour victory by chipping in for birdie on the first extra hole to defeat Harry Higgs and Mackenzie Hughes, thus getting him into the field at the PGA Championship.

And now, the 38-year-old is heading to the U.S. Open after defeating Sam Burns to win the RBC Canadian Open, this time needing four extra holes to secure the win and the $1.764 million paycheck that came along with it.

Burns entered Sunday's final round at TPC Toronto tied for 16th, trailing Fox and fellow 54-hole co-leader Matteo Mannassero by four shots but vaulted up the leaderboard with a blistering 8-under 62, carding nine birdies against just one bogey to take the clubhouse lead at 18-under.

Over the next two hours, Burns watched several players nearly match his 18-under total, only to come up short, a list that included Kevin Yu, who ultimately took solo third at 17-under, and the duo of Cameron Young and Matt McCarthy, who tied for fifth at 16-under.

Fox found himself three behind with only five holes to play, but reeled off birdies at 14, 15, and 18 to get himself into a two-man playoff, all of which was contested at the 576-yard, par-5 finishing hole.

Both had their chances to win over the first three attempts, but neither could seal the deal, each making three consecutive pars. On the fourth attempt, however, Fox hit what he later called the best shot he's ever hit in his life, thumping a 3-wood from 269 yards away to just over seven feet from the hole.

Burns also found the putting surface in two, but his nearly 40-foot eagle attempt ran almost 10 feet past the hole. And when his comeback effort for birdie also missed, the pressure was off Fox, who failed to drain his eagle putt but left himself just a foot for birdie, tapping in to take his second win in 28 days.

As mentioned, Fox earned $1.764 million of the $9.8 million total purse for the victory, more than double the $720,000 he collected for his win in Myrtle Beach. Burns also took home seven figures for finishing in solo second, earning just over $1.068 million.
