The 45th edition of the Ryder Cup has arrived. Two years after Team Europe held serve on home soil, Captain Luke Donald and company will attempt to retain the famous trophy and win an away Ryder Cup for the first time since the "Miracle at Medinah" in 2012, the last time either side won on foreign soil.
Following a five-point defeat to the Europeans in Rome two years ago, Team USA, led by Captain Keegan Bradley, will look to win back the cup on home ground and attempt to recapture some of the magic that was on display during a dominant win at Whistling Straits in 2021.
The 45th playing of the Ryder Cup will feature stacked lineups on both sides, which could make it one of the most hotly contested events in the competition's illustrious history.
Each of the top 16 players in the Official World Golf Ranking will tee it up this week in New York. The 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black will also feature all three of this year's major winners, Rory McIlroy (Masters), Scottie Scheffler (PGA Championship, Open Championship), and J.J. Spaun (U.S. Open).
In all, 11 of the 24 players competing are major champions. The Ryder Cup will also include this year's FedEx Cup champion, Tommy Fleetwood, and 16 players who won on the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, or LIV Golf this season.
While this year's Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black will include five players who will be making their debut in the competition, there is still a wealth of experience between the two teams that will be on display once again in the 45th edition of the Ryder Cup. With that said, here is a look at how every player competing in the Ryder Cup has fared previously.
Historic Ryder Cup records for every player on Team USA and Team Europe
Keegan Bradley's U.S. Team will feature four players who will be making their Ryder Cup debut this week at Bethpage Black: Ben Griffin, Russell Henley, J.J. Spaun, and Cameron Young. Here is a look at Team USA and their records in the Ryder Cup.
