Following a one-year hiatus away from one of golf's most iconic venues due to last year's tragic wildfires, the PGA Tour returns to Riviera Country Club for the 2026 Genesis Invitational, with Tiger's tourney representing the second Signature Event of the season.

The second of three Signature Events in a four-week stretch, The Genesis boasts an elite 72-man field in the final event of this year's West Coast swing.

World No.1 Scottie Scheffler headlines a field that includes each of the world's top 10 players in the Official World Golf Ranking. Ludvig Aberg returns to the Genesis Invitational as the defending champion after the Swede secured the title at Torrey Pines one year ago. Meanwhile, 2024 champion Hideki Matsuyama returns to Riviera looking for back-to-back victories at the iconic venue.

Unlike last week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, which was won by Collin Morikawa, this week's tourney will feature a cut at the halfway point, with the top 50 players and ties and any player within 10 shots of the lead advancing to play the weekend. Additionally, Riviera Country Club (par-71, 7,384 yards) will host all four rounds of this year's Genesis Invitational.

The second of eight Signature Events in 2026, let's dive into this week's picks and predictions for Tiger's event.

2026 Genesis Invitational picks and predictions

Top 20 pick for the Genesis Invitational: Tom Hoge (+360)

Hoge returns to Riviera this week after notching an eighth-place finish here in 2024, improving from a T14 result at the Genesis Invitational in 2023. The 2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am winner recorded three top-18 finishes in Signature Events last year, and he comes into this week fresh off a T14 finish at Pebble last week.

Sleeper pick for the Genesis Invitational: Max Homa (+7600)

Dating back to the 2020 Genesis Invitational, Homa has finished T16 or better in each of his last five starts at Riviera Country Club, including a win in 2021. It's been a slow start to 2026 for Max, but he did finish T27 at The American Express last month, and he came into the year after a strong FedEx Cup Fall, when he finished in the top 20 in three of his four starts. Perhaps a return to a venue he loves can ignite his season.

Pick to win the Genesis Invitational: Harris English (+3700)

It's been a strong start to the season for English, who has finished T28 or better in each of his four starts in 2026. Winner at the Farmers Insurance Open last year, he would go on to record three top-12 finishes in Signature Events and a runner-up finish at last July's Open Championship. English is fifth in the field from off the tee over the last three months, per Data Golf, and has finished T12 and 7th in his last two starts at Riviera Country Club.

Pick to win the Genesis Invitational: Patrick Cantlay (+2600)

Like Homa, Cantlay has a tremendous history at Riviera Country Club; unlike Max, he is still looking for that elusive first win at the Genesis Invitational.

Cantlay came close two years ago when he took a lead into the final round before finishing tied for fourth. He has finished T4 or better on three occasions and has finished inside the top 20 in six of his last seven starts here. Cantlay comes into this year's Genesis Invitational fresh off a T14 finish at Pebble last week, where he gained strokes across the board en route to his second top 15 finish in three starts this season.
