The PGA Tour shifts to Detroit for the final edition of the Rocket Classic at Detroit Golf Club. Formerly the Rocket Mortgage Classic, Detroit GC's North Course will host the eighth edition of the event, which debuted on the schedule in 2019.
The North Course (Par 70, 7,328 yards) has undergone extensive changes, and it will present a different challenge than previous editions for the 147-man field that will tee it up in the penultimate event ahead of the 2026 FedEx Cup Playoffs. The Rocket Classic has seen winning scores ranging between 18-under and 26-under since 2019, but even with the changes, we should expect a similar winning tally come week's end.
Runner-up at the British Open two weeks ago, Cameron Young headlines arguably the strongest Rocket Classic field in tournament history. Including the Players Champion, six of the top 10 OWGR-ranked players are in attendance, including 2026 U.S. Open Champion Wyndham Clark.
Other notables in the field include Xander Schauffele, Patrick Cantlay, young phenom and last week's winner of the 3M Open Jackson Koivun, Hideki Matsuyama, Russell Henley, Chris Gotterup, and J.J. Spaun, to name a few.

2026 Rocket Classic picks and predictions
Sleeper pick for the Rocket Classic: Billy Horschel (+16000)
Horschel finds himself ranked 102nd in the FedEx Cup coming into the Rocket Classic and in need of a strong finish to make the playoffs. It's been a challenging season for the eight-time PGA Tour winner, but he flashed last time out at the 3M Open, where he notched a T13 finish.
With a T17 in his only other appearance at the Rocket Classic in 2019, Horschel has gained strokes on approach in every start dating back to the Charles Schwab Challenge at the end of May. He leads the field in approach over his last twenty rounds, per Data Golf.
Sleeper pick for the Rocket Classic: Ben Kohles (+8400)
Ranked 97th in the FedEx Cup heading into the Rocket Classic, Kohles is making a strong push for the playoffs and returns to Detroit in exceptional form. He secured a spot in the field at the Rocket Classic after finishing ninth in Minnesota, his fifth consecutive T23 finish or better. Kohles ranks fourth in the field in approach and 24th in strokes gained putting over the last 20 rounds. He finished T20 here in 2024.
Pick to win the Rocket Classic: J.J. Spaun (+3100)
After missing the Rocket Classic in 2025, Spaun returns to Detroit GC for a sixth time, having finished no worse than T33 here in any start. He has finished T10 or better at the Rocket Classic in two of his last three starts and comes into the eighth and final edition on course to return to the Tour Championship for a second consecutive season.
Including a win at the Valero Texas Open in April, the 2025 U.S. Open winner has finished T14 or better in half of his events since collecting his second PGA Tour win. He ranks in the top 25 in the field in both approach and putting over the last month.
Pick to win the Rocket Classic: Russell Henley (+2600)
With a T10 in his last start at the Rocket Classic in 2022, Henley has had success on Donald Ross designs throughout his career, including back-to-back top-five finishes at the Tour Championship over the last two seasons. He is having a fantastic season and is on track to tee it up at East Lake once again in a month's time.
A winner at the Charles Schwab Challenge at the end of May, Henley has nine top-20 finishes in 16 starts, including tying for ninth at the British Open last time out. He ranks fifth in the field in total strokes gained over his last 20 rounds.
