The Travelers Championship takes centre stage as the PGA Tour returns to Cromwell, Connecticut, for the final Signature Event of 2026.

Following a dramatic U.S. Open, a strong field returns to a familiar venue, TPC River Highlands (par-70, 6,844 yards), for the eighth and final Signature Event of the season. Despite taking place the week after a major, the majority of big names, sans Rory McIlroy, are in town to compete for one of the last big purses on the PGA Tour this season.

2024 winner Scottie Scheffler, who is looking for his first win since The American Express in January, leads the 72-man field that has made the short trek north for this year's Travelers Championship. Eight of the top 10 OWGR-ranked players are set to tee it up, including Players champion Cameron Young, three-time winner this season Matt Fitzpatrick, U.S. Open winner Wyndham Clark, and last year's Travelers runner-up Tommy Fleetwood, to name a few. Keegan Bradley returns to TPC River Highlands after winning this event two of the last three years.

Who will shine at the year's final Signature Event? Let's get into this week's picks and predictions for the Travelers Championship.

2026 Travelers Championship picks and predictions

Top 20 pick for the Travelers Championship: Corey Conners (+205)

Corey Conners comes into this year's Travelers Championship following a solid showing at Shinnecock, where he recorded his first top-25 finish since the Valspar Championship in March. He didn't compete in last year's event, but before that had finished tied for 9th and T27 in his two previous starts at TPC River Highlands.

Sleeper pick for the Travelers Championship: Akshay Bhatia (+7600)

A winner of one of this year's Signature Events at Bay Hill in March, Bhatia comes into the final Signature Event of the year after a solid showing at the U.S. Open, where he ranked eighth in the field in approach on his way to a T17 finish. He tied for fifth at the 2024 Travelers Championship and has finished T16 or better in four of the seven Signature Events so far this year.

Pick to win the Travelers Championship: Ben Griffin (+4400)

Griffin returns to the Travelers Championship after a T14 finish here in 2025. After winning an incredible three times on the PGA Tour in 2025, it's been a relatively quiet season for Griffin so far, who had recorded just two top-25 finishes prior to the Zurich Classic.

He returns to TPC River Highlands in good form of late, though, having finished T14 (PGA Championship), T3 (Charles Schwab), and T17 (U.S. Open) in three of his last four starts. If he can give himself some good birdie looks this week, he should be able to convert, ranking eighth in the field in strokes gained putting over the last twenty rounds, per Data Golf.

Pick to win the Travelers Championship: Xander Schauffele (+1475)

Schauffele extended his incredible record at the U.S. Open with another top-15 finish last weekend at Shinnecock. He returns to TPC River Highlands, where the two-time major winner has excelled, having finished T20 or better in five of seven starts, including his win at the 2022 Travelers Championship.

With two top-11 finishes in his last three starts, Schauffele, who last won on the PGA Tour last October at the Baycurrent Classic, could be on the verge of another breakthrough soon. He comes into this year's Travelers ranked fifteenth in the field in strokes gained ball striking over the last 20 rounds.
