After two weeks in California, the PGA Tour returns to Arizona for a party in the desert.

The WM Phoenix Open has long been a staple on the PGA Tour calendar, and it is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. Hundreds of thousands of fans will descend upon TPC Scottsdale this week to watch some of the biggest names in golf compete in this year's "People's Open."

Site of the famous par-3 16th hole, the Stadium Course at TPC Scottsdale (par-71, 7,261 yards) has been the home of the Phoenix Open since 1987. Following back-to-back events with multiple courses in play, the Stadium Course will host all four of this week's tournament rounds.

The 2026 edition of the WM Phoenix Open boasts another strong field, which is headlined by world No.1 and two-time WM Phoenix Open champion Scottie Scheffler.

The 123-man field features 11 of the top 20 OWGR-ranked players, including Xander Schauffele, Hideki Matsuyama, Viktor Hovland, and Collin Morikawa, to name a few. Additionally, two-time Phoenix Open champion Brooks Koepka will make his second start after returning to the PGA Tour at last week's Farmers Insurance Open.

Who will win the "People's Open" this time around? Let's dive into the picks and predictions for the 2026 WM Phoenix Open.

2026 WM Phoenix Open picks and predictions

Top 20 pick for the WM Phoenix Open: Nick Taylor (+200)

Winner of the WM Phoenix Open in 2024, Nick Taylor has finished in the top 25 at the Stadium Course in each of his last three starts at this event, including a runner-up finish to Scottie Scheffler in 2023. The Canadian is off to another strong start in 2026 and comes into this week after finishing T-13 in Hawaii and T-27 last time out at The American Express.

Sleeper pick for the WM Phoenix Open w/o Scheffler: Sepp Straka (+6600)

Straka had a strong year on the PGA Tour in 2025, with two wins and four additional top-10 finishes. He finished 15th at last year's WM Phoenix Open. Sepp missed the cut at The American Express in his first start of 2026, but before that finished T-3 at the Hero World Challenge in December. He ranks sixteenth or better in the field from tee-to-green and on approach over his last fifty rounds, per Data Golf.

Pick to win the WM Phoenix Open w/o Scheffler: Jordan Spieth (+4200)

Spieth has an impressive track record at the WM Phoenix Open, having finished sixth or better in four of his last five starts at TPC Scottsdale. After an up-and-down 2025, Spieth got off to a solid start to this year, finishing T-24 in his first start of 2026 at the Sony Open a few weeks ago. He gained strokes across the board and now returns to a venue where he surprisingly hasn't won yet despite multiple impressive finishes.

Pick to win the WM Phoenix Open: Cameron Young (+2450)

After finishing T-26 and 64th in his first two starts at the WM Phoenix Open, Young has finished T-8 and T-12 in each of his last two starts at TPC Scottsdale.

His prowess off the tee and on the greens (31st and seventh on the PGA Tour last year, respectively) should set Young up for success at a venue like TPC Scottsdale. He notched his first PGA Tour win at the Wyndham Championship last August and finished T-22 in his season debut at the Farmers last week.
