The PGA Tour returns to Tiger Woods' El Cardonal at Diamante for the World Wide Technology Championship. The second consecutive event in Mexico, this week's tourney marks the sixth of eight FedExCup Fall events as the 2026 season winds down.

After hosting for the first time in 2023, El Cardonal (Par 72, 7,452 yards) at Diamante will host the WWT Championship for a fourth time. After opening in 2014, El Cardonal became the first Tiger Woods design to host a PGA Tour event when the WWT Championship moved here from Mayakoba after the 2022 season.

Coming off a top-five finish at the Baycurrent Classic, Ryan Gerard joins defending champion Ben Griffin as two of the marquee names in the 120-man field. Griffin set the scoring record en route to an impressive third win of the season here in 2025. Presidents Cup star Jackson Koivun, Keith Mitchell, and Ben James are also set to tee it up in one of the year's final events.

With the FedExCup Fall series winding down, the stakes are high in Mexico. Who will rise to the occasion? Let's get into some picks and predictions for the 2026 World Wide Technology Championship.

2026 World Wide Technology Championship picks and predictions

Sleeper pick for the World Wide Technology Championship: Matthieu Pavon (+9400)

Coming off a T11 finish at Vidanta last week, where he led the field in strokes gained on approach, 2024 Farmers Insurance Open winner Matthieu Pavon returns to El Cardonal, where he tied for thirty first in his debut last year. The T11 result at the Mexico Open was Pavon's second top-11 finish in his last four starts, having previously finished T3 in his home open at the Open de France at the end of September.

Pick to win the World Wide Technology Championship: Max Greyserman (+5200)

Max Greyserman picked up his second top-11 finish of the FedExCup Fall last week at Vidanta, following a T10 result in Asheville in September. At 96th in the FedExCup Fall standings, he has some work left to do over the next three events to secure his status for 2027. Greyserman finished fourth at the World Wide Technology Championship in his debut here a couple of seasons ago.

Pick to win the World Wide Technology Championship: Kris Ventura (+4000)

Kris Ventura returns to the World Wide Technology Championship after finishing T27 in his debut at El Cardonal last year. He continued his excellent 2026 by finishing runner-up last week at the Mexico Open, his fourth top-five finish of the year.

Ventura ranked fourth in the field in total strokes gained from tee to green last week; he also ranks fourth in this week's field in the same department over the last three months, per Data Golf. He has made the cut in four of his five starts this fall.

Pick to win the World Wide Technology Championship: Keith Mitchell (+2800)

Keith Mitchell will make his second start of the fall at the World Wide Technology Championship and returns to El Cardonal fresh off a runner-up finish at the Baycurrent Classic in October. It was his fourth top-six finish of the year, which includes a T4 at the U.S. Open in June. Mitchell is two-for-three in made cuts at El Cardonal, and he comes into this year's WWT Championship ranked second in the field in total strokes gained over the last three months.
