The newest TGL club is scheduled to begin its inaugural season in 2027, and Motor City Golf Club has kicked off its roster construction by signing Brooks Koepka, who rejoined the PGA Tour this season after spending several years in LIV Golf.
The 36-year-old, who is currently ranked 119th in the Official World Golf Ranking, has struggled to find consistency as he is working his way back into the PGA Tour. Nevertheless, Motor City ownership is clearly excited to have him on board.

Brooks Koepka's 2026 season
With the Tour Championship taking place this weekend, Koepka is sitting at home, as he finished 94th with 438 FedEx Cup points. Out of the 16 tournaments he's played this year, Koepka missed five cuts and withdrew once.
In March, he had a good stretch by finishing three times in the top 25. His best tournament thus far this season came at the PGA National Resort in the Cognizant Classic, where he finished tied for ninth.
The five-time major winner did not have much success at the major tournaments this year. He completed The Masters tied for 12th, which was his best finish, but he missed the cut at the U.S. Open and finished outside the top 25 at both the PGA Championship and The Open Championship.

Koepka's past success
Koepka is a former world No. 1 and has won nine times on the PGA Tour, with five of those victories being major championships.
He has three wins at the PGA Championship in 2018, 2019, and 2023 and also won twice at the U.S. Open in 2017 and 2018. Koepka was one of the biggest names in golf in the late 2010s, and at only 36 years old, he will look to recapture some of his past success.
As we have seen with other TGL golfers, perhaps the early start to his season will bring him some victories once the PGA Tour season begins in 2027.
