She has not won on tour since 2023. 28-year-old Cheyenne Knight had an up-and-down campaign in 2024 and will look to tee off the 2025 season the right way this weekend.
She qualified for the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions due to her victory at the Dow Great Lakes Championship in 2023 with event partner Elizabeth Szokol.
But the veteran golfer will be looking to win on tour individually for the first time since 2019. Last season she only had two top 10s on the year and her best major finish was a tie for 46th at the Women's PGA Championship.
Knight though, has the swing and ability to turn things around, which has made her one of the steadier players on tour since she started in 2019.
She has 14 top 10s in her career including an impressive 2023 season which saw her nab five on the year. In 2023 she was ranked 28th in money earned.
Last season though, she dropped to 87th on the money earned list. She also saw her scoring average go from 70.80% in 2023 to 72.20% last season.
Cheyenne Knight had her best finish last season at the Tournament of Champions.
She will hope to follow a T4 finish at last year's tournament with another great result this time. Last year, Knight hit 53 of 72 greens in regulation and had 17 birdies for the tournament.
Despite some setbacks a year ago, she did put up some impressive numbers. She ranked in 21st place in Driving Accuracy posting a 77.65% average.
Knight also ranked in 34th place for putts per round average coming in at around 34% per tournament. If she can work on a few elements of her game this year she could easily be atop the leaderboard every Sunday soon.
What is important for Knight is to build some momentum. She was unable to do that a season ago. Knight followed her top 10 at last year's Hilton Tournament with another top 10 the following week at the LPGA Drive on Championship.
She soon hit a snag though, as she had to withdraw at the Honda LPGA Thailand and would soon miss several cuts and finish no better than her T46 PGA Championship finish.
But Knight has been a consistent player on tour and if she can return to her 2023 form it should be an impressive 2025 season. She and the rest of the tour are set to tee off this Thursday.
