The TGL Semifinals took place on Tuesday as the defending champion, Atlanta Drive GC played against the Los Angeles Golf Club, while Boston Common teed off against Jupiter Links.

Los Angeles Golf Club vs. Atlanta Drive GC

With Collin Morikawa hurting his back at the Players Championship over the weekend, Sahith Theegala stepped in his place to join Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood for Los Angeles. Chris Gotterup, Patrick Cantlay, and the hero of the 2025 season, Billy Horschel, teed it up for Atlanta as they sought to repeat as champions.

Triples

Atlanta started strong, taking early control and putting pressure on Los Angeles from the outset. Gotterup nailed a 14-foot birdie putt to take a 1-0 lead after the first hole. Atlanta threw their first Hammer on the third hole after receiving a great read off a putt by Justin Rose. The Hammer was accepted, and Cantlay made his 11-foot putt to take an early 3-0 lead.

The shot of the match was made on the fourth hole as Justin Rose sank his 24-foot birdie putt. This gave Los Angeles an extremely valuable point and put them back in the game. Atlanta was able to gain another point off a Hammer throw on the sixth hole after Horschel was left with a short putt. Los Angeles would then go on to win the last two holes of Triples to cut Atlanta's lead to 4-3 going into match play.

Singles

Rose would tie the match after the 10th hole when Atlanta declined a Los Angeles Hammer throw. Cantlay's drive that found the rough would ultimately cost him as he had to lay up on his second shot, while Rose was able to reach just off the green. The tie was broken on the 13th hole again when Rose made another lengthy birdie putt while Cantlay could not convert.

Los Angeles would buy another point with their last Hammer when Atlanta declined to have Theegala putt a four-footer for the hole. With a 6-4 LAGC lead, it all came down to the par-5 between Gotterup and Fleetwood. Both golfers have delivered strong early-season performances in the TGL and on the tour.

Atlanta threw their last Hammer before the tee shot to make the hole worth two points, which would tie the match if they were to win the hole. Both players made their way down the fairway and to the green on the same number of shots. However, the match came to an end when Fleetwood sank his three-foot birdie putt to tie the hole as he sent his team to the championship.

Boston Common vs. Jupiter Links

Boston had a big year, clinching the first overall seed after missing the playoffs last year. They sent out Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, and Adam Scott. Jupiter Links would respond with Tom Kim, Max Homa, and Akshay Bhatia. The two prior matches these teams have played have both ended in overtime.

Triples

The Ballfrogs got off to a fast start on the first hole, winning a point on an Adam Scott 12-foot birdie putt. This match was back and forth throughout the Triples portion of play as Max Homa chipped in from off the green to tie the match after the second hole. Boston reclaimed the lead on the third hole thanks to an 18‑foot putt from McIlroy, but gave it right back on the next hole after his drive found the penalty area.

The match was tied 2-2 until the seventh hole when McIlroy again found the penalty area on his tee shot. Boston would regroup to claim the next hole after a great wedge by Scott to put them within seven feet. Although Jupiter conceded the hole, they claimed the last point of the Triples round thanks to Kim converting his short birdie putt while Scott failed to match it. This ultimately gave Jupiter a 4-3 lead going into match play.

Singles

Jupiter Links would take control of the match on the 10th hole when they threw a Hammer, forcing McIlroy to make an eight-foot putt. He would miss the putt, which put the Ballfrogs down by three points with five holes to play. On the 11th hole, Boston threw their Hammer however, Bhatia would respond to sink the putt and split the hole.

Jupiter would win the next hole with a Hammer decline from Boston when Kim put his tee shot within three feet of the hole. Boston was forced to throw their Hammer before the tee shot to make the hole worth two points; however, McIlroy was unable to win the hole, and Homa tapped in for par to win the hole and the match, sending Jupiter Links to their first championship appearance.

"Night, night! Send me to the championship, boys!"
Max Homa
