As the LPGA season continues on, a few players have started to move up in the Race to CME Globe. One player who has started strong is Swedish-born Linn Grant. This past weekend, she secured her second top 25 in two starts.

It is a strong start for the 23-year-old who is in the early parts of her career. At her first tournament this season, she finished in sole possession of third place at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. She shot a 67 in both the second and third rounds at the season opener.

Grant talked to reporters after the second round about the tournament and how she approaches the game. "I know I play my best golf when I keep it simple and not be too aggressive and let the putts do the job for me.”

This past weekend the Honda LPGA Thailand, Grant finished in a tie for 17th. Her performance included bogey-free rounds during the second and fourth rounds. In the final round in Thailand, she secured the top 25 by shooting a 67.

She made birdies on both the first and 18th holes. She also hit all 18 greens in regulation on Sunday. During the second round, she made both sand saves she attempted.

Linn Grant recorded the 31st top-25 finish in her young career

She currently is in sixth place in the Race to the CME Globe. She ranks in 21st place for driving distance average at 269.56. She also stands in 26th place for greens in regulation percentage at 77.78%.

She is coming off a 2024 campaign, that saw the 23-year-old secure five top 10s throughout the season. She also represented Sweden in the Paris Olympics where she finished in 27th place while representing her country.

Her only victory on the tour came at the 2023 Dana Open. She also finished in sole possession of third place at the same tournament last year. If she continues her strong push this year, she could be looking at either another top 3 or even another victory at some point.

She has been one of the more exciting and strong players on tour since joining in 2022. She has only missed seven cuts since her rookie campaign; illustrating her incredible consistency.

It really is not hard to imagine Grant as a player who could challenge the likes of Nelly Korda not only this season but for many to come.
