It's been a good week for the LIV Golf League. Two of golf's four majors, the U.S. Open and The Open Championship announced that they would be creating a pathway for LIV Golf players to secure their spot in future championships, the new LIV season began in Riyadh over the weekend with Adrian Meronk going wire-to-wire for his first victory on LIV, and the league will now return to Australia for one of the marquee events on its schedule.

After moving up in the schedule for the 2025 season, LIV Golf Adelaide will now mark the second event of the new season. Fresh off a runner-up finish in Riyadh over the weekend, Ripper GC will once again look to thrill the passionate home crowds as they return to The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide, Australia, looking to defend the title they won last year in a playoff. But with Legion XIII coming off a dominant team title of their own in the opening event in Saudi Arabia, the all-Australian team captained by Cameron Smith will know they will need to be at their best once again if they hope to repeat the feat this time around.

Following his individual title at LIV Adelaide last year, HyFlyers GC's Brendan Steele returns to the site of his first LIV win looking to improve upon a T30 finish in the season-opening event this past weekend. Steele will be joined by last week's winner Meronk, Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, and a host of others looking to get off to a hot start in the early part of the season. Whatever the outcome this time around, it should be another exciting event with a great atmosphere down under. Here is a look at some of the key information to know ahead of LIV Golf Adelaide 2025 including starting times, this year's purse, the TV schedule, and more.

When does LIV Golf Adelaide start?

The third edition of the popular event will begin on Friday, February 14th, at 12:45 p.m. local time and conclude on Sunday, February 16. The final round will begin just over an hour earlier, at 11:35 a.m. local time. This will be the first time the event has been played in February after the two previous editions took place in April.

LIV Golf Adelaide format, teams

Every player in the LIV Golf Adelaide field will tee off at the same time on Friday, February 14. The Tour's shotgun start will be implemented across all three rounds of 54-hole golf. Every player in the field will compete for the individual title at the Grange, and for the overall team title with the best three teams after 54 holes of action finishing on the team podium. The season-opening event in Saudi Arabia saw Legion XIII claim the first team title of the year followed by Ripper GC and RangeGoats GC, who tied for second.

As mentioned, Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, and last week's winner Adrian Meronk are just a few of the big names who are set to tee it up down under at this year's event. Additionally, Phil Mickelson is expected to return to the course for the first time in 2025 after withdrawing from the season-opening event in Riyadh. Here is a look at every team expected to compete at LIV Golf Adelaide in 2025 in order of the LIV Golf team standings after one event of the season.
