After winning game 1 in dramatic fashion, Los Angeles came out determined to assert control early and often as they looked to close out the sweep. LAGC would use the same lineup from Game 1 with Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, and Sahith Theegala. Tiger Woods made his 2026 TGL debut, replacing Kevin Kisner and joining Max Homa and Tom Kim as they looked to force a Game 3.

Triples

The first hole began with no drama and surprisingly not a deficit for Jupiter, as they have often found themselves down early in almost every game. Tiger Woods' first swing of the night came on a fairway where he launched his 3-wood for 272 yards to come within 25 feet of the hole. Homa hit the chip to within inches of the hole to make a birdie for Jupiter as Theegala missed another short putt to give Jupiter the early lead.

Jupiter would extend their lead on the fourth hole as Theegala continued to struggle early as he put his 8-iron in the penalty area. Unfortunately for Woods and company, this would be where their good times would end.

On the sixth hole, the teams would play the famous 'Stinger'. Woods and Fleetwood would hit perfect tee shots down the center of the fairway. As Rose would hit his approach to within seven feet, Los Angeles threw their first Hammer of the night. Homa and Kim were unable to get up and down for a birdie, and Theegala redeemed himself by making the seven-foot putt to tie the match.

Woods's rust would become apparent on the next hole as he missed a four-foot putt to gift Los Angeles another point. On the par-4 eighth hole, Theegala would use his big driver to give them an eagle opportunity to within 11 feet of the hole. Fleetwood would convert the putt as LAGC was in cruise control.

Jupiter would throw their first Hammer of the match on the ninth hole after they saw Fleetwood's tee shot find the bunker. Both teams would ultimately reach the green with eagle opportunities from 14 feet. Kim, who has usually been a wizard with the putter, failed to convert while Theegala drained it to give LAGC a 6-2 lead heading into match play.

Singles

Jupiter needed points quickly and chose to throw their second Hammer before the tee shot on hole 10. Justin Rose would take matters into his own hands as his drive found the fairway and he almost converted his second albatross of the season as his 5-wood came to within five feet of the cup. Homa would end up missing his eagle chip, and LAGC saw an opportunity to end the match and threw a Hammer of their own. With no other choice, Jupiter accepted and saw their season come to an end as Homa missed the birdie opportunity.

"It feels unbelievable. What a team, what a year. ... I think we played our best golf of the year there the last five or six holes and it’s just awesome to finish that way."
Sahith Theegala

Los Angeles Golf Club dominates

Los Angeles went on to win the last five holes of the match and scored a total of nine points. Los Angeles closed out the round in spectacular fashion, delivering three consecutive eagles over the final three holes to showcase their dominance. Justin Rose was the team’s MVP throughout the season, but Theegala rose to the occasion down the stretch, while Fleetwood delivered his trademark consistency from start to finish.

Over the past two seasons, Los Angeles has been the best team in the TGL. They have won 10 of their 14 matches and have played consistent golf for the entire duration. As LAGC and the TGL look to their future, it will be interesting to watch if this becomes the league's first dynasty.
