PGA Tour Power Rankings: AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
By James Monday
The most famous hit and giggle in the world has returned for the 2025 edition, as the Tour makes its way up the California coast to the Monterey Peninsula for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Forever a vehicle for Bill Murray's never-ending antics on the golf course, the Pro-Am always feels like a weird event to try and predict, made weirder by last season's tournament being stopped after 54 holes.
The big story of the week is undoubtedly Scottie Scheffler making his season debut after his bizarre Christmastime hand injury, injecting more star power into a strong field (let's hope the PGA Tour's early season ratings issues can be resolved by not having to go up against playoff football this weekend). With the weather looking more favorable to the pros and celebrities and indistinguishable businessmen teeing it up this weekend, let's look at the pros who should be packing the top of the leaderboard this week.
9. Taylor Pendrith
This spot was a toss-up between Taylor Pendrith and Tom Hoge for me, but I'm going to side with Pendrith over the 2022 champion in Hoge because Pendrith has been very solid to start his season. Coming off of a T7 at a difficult Torrey Pines setup, Pendrith has racked up a T7 and a T13 this season where he still hasn't had a statistically good putting performance, a skill we saw him lean on heavily in the 2024 season. If Pendrith finally puts together even just a field-average putting performance this week, he should be finding his way to the front page of the leaderboard.
